This meeting we will be working on creating a “map” of policy within New Mexico and around the Nation to see what sort of policies already exist that effect New Mexico’s foodshed. We are currently paying attention to ways in which we can improve the quality of school lunches, and finding ways to integrate food grown in school gardens into cafeterias that can be served during school meals.
The results of what we find will provide us the opportunity to develop what ultimate purpose we want the Food Policy Organizing Committee to take in the future.
